I struggled with words to find as a way to describ

I struggled with words to find as a way to describe what I’m feeling. My emotions are all over the place.

Today, my first born officially begins his professional working career. He’s a working man now, a professional in the Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical Industry, and working with one of the top companies in the world!

Our goal, as parents, was to create a path for him to be educated, to have choices in what he wants to do in life, and to obtain a career that will allow him to take care of himself and live a good life. I thank God for all that he’s done to see us through.

Although I’m happy and proud, a part of me had to face reality today. The path has been set and he’s on his way now. My new job is to stand aside, cheer him on as he works his way up, and be here when he asks me to step in (and to remind him to save, pay tithes, and invest 😜).

I am a #mommabear , through and through, and I’ll always be here for him in some capacity, I know that. But it hits different when you see them actually start to do LIFE on their own and you know that it can be done without much of your assistance. That was the plan and the prayer, I know, but I BLINKED and we are here!

I could go on and on - but I’ll stop here and say Myles Buchanan I love you. #Congratulations on all that you’ve accomplished and I know you’ll make a fine addition to the corporate world. #gogetit .

This is our first born. He’s 21 and a legal adul

This is our first born. He’s 21 and a legal adult. He recently started taking trips, using his own money to see the world without his parents.

Although he’s an adult and free to move about the world as he chooses, he knows we still worry. As parents, we want to be alerted quickly should anything happen while he’s away. We want assistance to get to him right away should he get stranded, hurt or lost. We want to know that he’s reached his destination, and most importantly we want to know that he’s always SAFE.

To give us peace of mind, he turns on his Life360, just to let us know he’s arrived or in the process of traveling from
one state to another. Should something ever happen, we’ll at least have a starting point with dates and times to find him.
