Be Intentional with What You Want in 2024
For this New Year, I want to help you achieve your goals effectively, by being an intentional person.
We’ve got tons of material for you in 2024. Living your best life involves a great number of aspects. The goals you set will be very personal and unique to you. However, there are some common goals and strategies I want to share that can help anyone achieve what they want in life, from a personal and a business standpoint.
Throughout 2024, I’ll share actions you can take and actionable guidelines you can create to reach goals. I’ll show you how to knock out obstacles like fear and uncertainty and become the best version of yourself and a BOSS at the same time. I’ll give you great business tips, so you never have to start anything from scratch, and I’ll bring guests on my podcast who will share their success stories and tools they used to unlock their full potential.
I encourage you to dream big and take risks in 2024.
Although this may seem challenging, you can live a life beyond what you’re currently experiencing when you remain open to Unlocking Your Full Potential. It’s a process of creating goals and then setting achievable objectives and milestones for attaining them. To be intentional is to live each aspect of your life with your goal in mind, and to educate yourself in areas where you fall short or need improvement.
I’ve already seen countless people post their goals on social media, and I have yet to see one of these people write effective goals. I want to provide some advice on how to create goals the RIGHT WAY.
Goals should always be written in a SMART format. Setting smart goals can help you get closer to your dreams. Before I go into detail, one of the first things I want you to do is define your WHY for each goal.
- WHY do you want to exercise more?
- WHY do you want to eat healthier?
- WHY do you want to spend more time with family and friends?
- WHY do you want to save more money or live more economically?
- WHY do you want to quit smoking?
Whatever your goals are for 2024, you need to understand the WHY behind them, and they need to be SMART.
SMART GOALS ARE A MUST HAVE.
SMART is an acronym AND I want to explain what this means, letter by letter
S stands for Specific. You want to be very specific when setting goals for yourself. Let’s take the example I use the example of Saving More Money. You want to be specific and say, I want to save $10,000 by December 31.
M stands for Measurable. In the example I just provided, I want to save 10K by December 31, I can measure if I am moving towards that or not. I can measure daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly, just by checking my savings account for progress.
A stands for Achievable. Ask yourself, “Is this goal something I can achieve?” Often it may be a stretch, but you want to ensure your goals are something you believe you can achieve.
R stands for Realistic. In my example of saving $10,000 in a year, this goal would no be realistic if your annual income is only $5000. Make sure your goals are realistic, considering how you live your life and the bigger goals you have for yourself.
And finally, the T in SMART goals stands for timely. All of your SMART goals should have a deadline. In the example I gave you earlier, to save 10K by December 31, the date of December 31 provides you with a deadline. All goals should be time-bound.
I encourage you all to take a moment to:
- Write down your goals
- Determine your WHY
- Go back again and make each goal SMART
